After early studies in piano, I began classical guitar training at age 6, eventually expanding my education in guitar to include jazz, blues and rock. I have worked as a composer on several music projects, as well as financed a cinema degree in Paris with my jazz/electronic fusion project, Aiguille.

I am a musician first and foremost, with a background in metal, jazz, and classical music. Over the past decade since my graduation from Essex University, I have worked as a composer, tutor, and session performer, in addition to occupying roles as a transcriber, producer and virtual orchestrator.

When I first meet a new student, I start be establishing what it is that they want to achieve from having music lessons. I then use this information to structure the lessons going forward, providing technical exercises and demonstrating the application of theoretical concepts within the framework of what it is that they want to learn, with the intention of developing the student's practical vocabulary and technical understanding of what they're playing.

Ben has studied at one of the UK’s most known conservatoires, The Academy of Contemporary Music and became a lecturer for the academy at the age of 22.

Ben has industry experience, such as international performances and tours in pop (Kavana, Leanne Jarvis), rock, r&b, Neo soul, Funk, jazz, West end & international musical theatre (Cats, Rock of Ages, Tommy, Sister Act, Spring Awakening) he has developed a strong professional standard as a touring guitarist. As a recording session guitarist, Ben has contributed to TV soundtrack recordings and online recording sessions. As a content writer for guitar, he has contributed to a number of educational books, publications, and academic syllabuses.

I became a fingerstyle guitarist thirty plus years ago because I had the pleasure of learning guitar personally from the late great Lenny Breau. I haven't looked back since. I grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada but I always had the inclination to travel. I have worked as a music teacher in international schools around the globe in places such as China, Taiwan, Singapore, Kuwait and currently, Cairo, Egypt. I am also listed with the Registry of Guitar Tutors (RGT) out of England. I am a performer but teaching music is my passion. I have always had a number of guitar students ie beginning, intermediate, and advanced wherever I have lived. I now want to reach out to the world. I believe my international experience has greatly increased my musicality and I want to pass some of it on to you.

When you take lessons with Federico, he will first ensure you understand some basic concepts about the instrument you are starting to play, he then plans the lessons based on what you are seeking to learn.  Federico has earned himself a music degree at the EMBA school of music Buenos Aires, Argentina and has been teaching private music lessons for the past 5 years.
